About Step Up School

Step up School was set up in 2002 with the purpose of filling in its own, quality space in English learning. We offer an active method in teaching English, based on mastering the oral skills.

Most of our success resides in combining two methods: personal and interactive learning, using a computer (guided by a teacher) and face-to-face classes in groups of maximum six students.

Our misión

We want to offer a unique and personalized English learning process, far from the franchise concept. We can always count on a steady team of native teachers, who could help you whatever your level is, from beginner all the way to the Cambridge exam preparation.

Our philosopy

Most of our method’s success resides in combining two models: the personalized and interactive learning, using a computer (guided by a teacher, at all times) and face-to-face classes, in classrooms with a maximum of 6 students.

Native teachers

Speaking English and understanding spoken English

Speaking English and understanding spoken English. Our work is based on four fundamental pillars: team work, seriousness, personalized classes and communication.

Step up School’s main objective is teaching its students how to speak and how to understand spoken English, because this is what they would most take advantage of when speaking a foreign language.

In order to fulfill such task, our centre has formed a solid team of teachers with different accents, including British or American ones. In our team of teachers there are native English speakers from The United States of America and from Great Britain alike, who own the necessary qualifications in order to teach English classes to children, teenagers and adults.

A unique and interactive method

Apart from books, our teachers also use other teaching methods to teach English: boardgames, computer games, arts and crafts, songs, stories, flashcards, English videos, and, above all, the dialogue.

When a student has a conversation class, his/her teacher will teach him/her how to speak. In the classroom, our teachers speak English to their students 95% of the time, so that these get rapidly used to the English language and understand spoken English.
